About 49 Mile Project

49 Mile Project began when I was a kid growing up in The City — I've always wanted to capture the way I see San Francisco. When I wrote the book (outlined below) as an adult, looking to introduce my kids to SF, it inspired me to once again focus my artwork on our experience here.

About the Book

If you listen to Tony Bennett’s famous song, “I left my heart in San Francisco,” you’ll find that there is a verse and an illustration in this book for each lyric. I was inspired to write this new poem for The City thanks to Mr. Bennett, and hearing his voice after many a San Francisco Giants’ home win.

Dedication

This book is dedicated to my daughter Mabel, and my son Ezra — two more native San Franciscans.
